Teachers became First Responders during the COVID-19 pandemic.
They answered the call and became heroes in a virtual classroom. Post pandemic, teachers face several challenges as they adapt to the new normal. Violence in schools, low salaries, student loan debt, and an array of circumstances further complicate their jobs. Teachers deserve our support.
Teachers Festival, Inc. is a 501c3 organized by a group of seasoned educators and administrators, under the leadership of Howard University graduate and business psychologist Dr. Soyini Richards, who has over 27 years of experience in education as a grade school teacher, professor, and school psychologist. The support team consists of a wide range of advisors who are among the most experienced educators from K-12 schools, colleges, universities, online programs, as well as business owners and leaders in the community.
Teachers Festival advisors include school administrators, directors of school programs, educators in various disciplines, entrepreneurs, and leadership in non-profit organizations. Our advisor affiliations include school districts in the United States and a growing international interest. Specific advisor affiliations include Georgetown University, Howard University, Spelman College, University of the District Columbia, Boston City Schools, New York City Public Schools, Baltimore City Schools, and the affiliations are growing.
Teachers Festival has touched the lives of teachers all over the United States and the world. We have specifically honored educators in Nigeria, Ghana, Dubai, Egypt and throughout South America.
