Shirell R. Bates is a native Prince George’s County Maryland and graduated from Prince George’s Community College for Liberal Arts. Dr. Stephen Bond has been a teacher for 21 years. Born and raised in New York, he has taught several History courses from AP American history World History as well as Civics and Government. Perseverance In A Strange Land
Ms. Matoula Hartlove received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a minor in Philosophy from University of Maryland, College Park in 2000. After spending one year at Georgetown University she earned her Certificate as an Ophthalmic Assistant and has spent the last 20 years working for a successful Ophthalmologist office. Although a busy single mother of 3, Matoula still finds time to dabble in the world of the fine arts. Ms. Hartlove spent 5 years working as a local Greek singer and has held part time jobs as a Greek Translator. Of late, she has started writing poetry and has just recently published her first children’s book named Kitty Meets Boohoo. She is excited about writing short fun stories that will teach children important life lessons and plans to release more children’s books in the near future.
